Hyster has introduced a new, flexible onboard charging solution now available for several integrated lithium-ion electric counterbalanced forklift models, including the J40XNTL, J40XNL, J50-60XNL, E50-60XNL, and E80XNL. This innovative feature enables the forklifts to be charged via commonly available power outlets while remaining compatible with traditional offboard fast charging, offering enhanced charging flexibility.
Flexible Charging for Diverse Applications
"Regulations, corporate sustainability initiatives, and consumer pressure have made focusing on clean energy alternatives an unavoidable reality. While integrated lithium-ion forklifts can help reduce carbon emissions, charging infrastructure has been a hurdle for many. This onboard charging solution allows more businesses to explore the benefits of lithium-ion forklifts, even in locations where adding new charging infrastructure isn’t feasible."
Ideal for Specific Use Cases
Intermittent charging scenarios: Such as small-to-medium agricultural operations and construction sites.
Low-hour applications: Including retail and light manufacturing, where fast charging is not a necessity.
Rental applications: Providing an electric option without requiring modifications to existing electrical infrastructure, and allowing charging via generators in areas with unreliable or unavailable power.
Charging Options and Performance
A 40-minute 6kW (240V) charge supports approximately one hour of medium-duty operation.
A 120V 1.4kW charge takes two hours and 40 minutes for similar usage.
Full recharge from lift-lockout to 100% battery capacity takes a minimum of two hours and 35 minutes (6kW, 240V) or 11 hours and five minutes (1.4kW, 120V).
