The latest news shows that from October 14 to 20, Sunwoda Power brought core products to the Paris Auto Show, one of the world's five major auto shows. At the same time, Sunwoda Power will hold a pile foundation ceremony at its manufacturing base in Hungary!
Wang Mingwang, Chairman of Sunwoda Power, said: "Sunwoda Power has five core advantages: leading technology, extreme intelligent manufacturing, ultra-high quality, reliable delivery, and large customer service experience. In the future, Sunwoda Power will continue to serve European customers with first-class solutions, relying on nearly 30 years of lithium battery experience and local service advantages in Hungary."
On October 18, Sunwoda Power will hold a pile foundation ceremony at its production and manufacturing base in Nyijihazor, Hungary, which marks the official entry of the Hungarian base into the construction phase and is expected to be put into operation by the end of 2026. The establishment of overseas bases shortens the physical distance between production and delivery, which helps to guarantee product quality, improve transportation efficiency, and increase the credibility of the company in the eyes of customers in the European region.
In addition, in 2023, the EU introduced the "Battery and Waste Battery Regulation", which puts forward clear requirements on the harmful substances, carbon footprint, recycled raw materials, electrochemical performance and durability, removable and replaceable, battery waste management, labeling and other aspects of batteries placed on the EU market.
First, pay attention to supply chain management system management, accelerate the construction of power battery carbon footprint standard system, and actively promote mutual recognition with international standards; The company conducted in-depth exchanges with core suppliers on emission reduction status and company goals.
The second is to promote the landing of the Chinese version of the battery passport, and bring the domestic battery system into line with international standards. Sunwoda, as a member of GBA, will use its own industry advantages to promote the construction of the battery passport digital platform, and enhance the transparency of the global battery value chain by integrating blockchain, Internet of things, artificial intelligence and other technologies.
The third is to lay out the field of battery recycling and actively practice circular economy. On the one hand, recycling materials are actively incorporated into the battery design stage; On the other hand, the layout of battery recycling, the creation of intelligent recycling system for decommissioned batteries, the cascade utilization of power batteries, and the standardized development of battery recycling.
It is worth noting that the Hungarian site is the first self-owned production site of Xinwanda in Europe, and also the third overseas plant of Xinwanda.
In July 2023, Sunwoda announced that it would invest 1.96 billion yuan in Hungary to build the first phase of a new energy vehicle power battery factory, which is mainly engaged in the manufacturing and sales of lithium-ion batteries and power battery systems.
Sunwoda chose to build a factory in Hungary in order to further expand its overseas business, serve international customers and increase Xinwanda's global market share. Because of the setting of overseas bases, the physical distance from product production to delivery is shortened, which is conducive to ensuring product quality, improving transportation efficiency, and increasing the credibility of Xinwanda in the eyes of customers in Europe.
The latest domestic power battery loading data shows that in September 2024, Sunwoda's power battery loading capacity of 1.75GWh, ranking fifth in the country.
The four companies in front of Sunwoda are CATL, BYD, Zhongchuang Singapore Airlines and Gotion.
In the latest global power battery loading ranking, from January to August 2024, although Sunwoda ranked 10th with 10.4GWh of power battery loading, its 60% year-on-year growth rate was much higher than the 39.4% growth rate of EVE, which is truly the global TOP10 enterprises "growth king".
Continuous expansion of the three-year plan for investment and financing of nearly 100 billion
Combing through the announcement, it was found that Sunwoda has frequently made large-scale investment and financing since 2021, with a total scale of nearly 100 billion yuan.

On September 15 of the same year, the company signed the "Yichang Project Investment Agreement", planning to invest about 12 billion yuan to build a "30GWh power battery production base".
On November 24, 2021, Sunwoda implemented a fixed increase of 41.90 yuan/share, raising a total of 3.915 billion yuan, mainly for three major parts of "3C consumer lithium ion cell expansion project", "3C consumer lithium battery module expansion project", and "laptop lithium battery module expansion project", and to supplement the working capital. And including UBS, Barclays, Efanda, Jinglin, Shenwan Hongyuan and other famous domestic and foreign investors are involved in the transaction.
On December 14, 2021, Sunwoda said it would spend 20 billion yuan in Zaozhuang, Shandong Province to invest in the construction of "Zaozhuang Project with an annual capacity of 30GWh power battery and energy storage battery".
In March 2022, Sunwoda has announced that it will invest in the construction of "30GWh power battery project" and "20GWh power battery and energy storage battery production base" in Zhuhai, Guangdong and Shifang, Sichuan, respectively, with a total investment of about 20 billion yuan.
On September 20, 2022, Sunwoda announced that it intends to sign an agreement with Yiwu City, planning to invest 21.3 billion yuan to build a production base with a total capacity of about 50GWh of power batteries and energy storage batteries.
On July 27, 2023, Sunwoda announced that it intends to invest 1.96 billion yuan in the construction of a new energy vehicle power battery plant in Hungary. According to the company's 2023 annual report, Sunwoda has also added overseas factories in Morocco.
By the end of 2023, Sunwoda's overseas manufacturing bases have spread across India, Vietnam, Hungary, Morocco and other developing countries, while the company also has branches in the United States, France, Germany, Israel, South Korea, Japan and other developed countries.
It is worth mentioning that on July 14, 2023, Sunwoda announced that it intends to spin off and list its electric vehicle battery main body Sunwoda Power, and the funds raised will still be used for advanced technology research and development reserves and high-quality capacity construction of power batteries.
At present, the listing work of Sunwoda Power is progressing!
