1) Rapid development of electric bicycles and low-end electric vehicles
The current electric vehicles are mainly electric bicycles, electric tricycles and low-end electric cars. There are also some high-end electric buses in trial operation, the former being the result of natural social demand and the latter being the result of policy support. These electric vehicles basically meet the needs of short-range travel or transportation, and charging is basically solved by the users themselves.
The rapid development of electric bicycles reflects the strong will of the general public to improve their transportation. With the development of the economy, cars (including electric cars) are bound to become the preferred transportation for the general public.
(2) The industrialization process of high-end electric vehicles has already started
Due to the real need for electric vehicles in energy saving and emission reduction and the medium and long term situation that fossil energy is facing depletion, many automobile factories at home and abroad are actively researching and promoting electric vehicles, while the pressure of China's energy structure and environmental management is promoting the recent policy of restructuring the automobile industry. Once the policy comes out, all the horses are running. More than a dozen electric car factories such as BYD, Chery, Zotye and Foton have already produced electric cars, and other manufacturers will also focus on launching electric car products in late 2010 or early 2011. The foreign and joint venture brands of electric vehicles have also launched new energy batteries with excellent performance and stylish appearance to seize the Chinese market.
The national development of the automotive industry development plan of electric vehicles basically refers to electric cars and electric buses that can run long distances and reach speeds of more than 80 kilometres per hour. At present, they mostly refer to lithium battery-electric cars and dual-powered cars (fuel + hydrogen or lithium).
(3) The emergence of new energy vehicles makes the construction of electric vehicle charging stations inevitable
The battery capacity of new electric vehicles is larger (small cars generally use lithium batteries), and the power required to be fully charged is larger, especially the instantaneous power required for fast charging reaches hundreds of kilowatts for a single car, which is difficult for non-dedicated power grids to bear. Special cables must be laid to build professional charging stations or build energy storage fast-charging stations.
Without the support of a fast-charging station, just relying on night parking slow charging (about 10 hours) is unable to meet the needs of travel and operation.
